Clamps to a caliper jaw and measures a loaded round from the bullet’s ogive rather than its tip.
Tip-to-tip variation runs as much as .025″ on otherwise identical bullets, which is enough to make overall-length readings useless for seating-depth work. This removes that variable. Interchangeable insert bushings cover the common calibres.
